Cakes from outside are welcome; a cakeage fee of $3 per person applies. Personalising the space is equally encouraged: banners, balloons, table arrangements, signage, and any other decorative touches are all welcome. There’s no restrictive décor policy at Aperitivo, so the room can genuinely feel like yours. The only exception is BYO food and beverages beyond the cake; everything else must come from our function menus.

The private dining room holds between 10 and 140 guests. Layouts can be arranged for seated dining or a standing cocktail-style event, depending on the format your occasion calls for. Reserving the private room doesn’t attract an additional charge. you simply need to meet a minimum spend that varies based on the day and time of your booking. Food and drinks together count toward that figure. If the minimum isn’t reached on the day, a room hire fee applies instead.

Every package centres on a shared Italian menu; your pre-chosen dishes from each course arrive as shared plates for the whole table on the day, which keeps the focus on the meal and the company rather than individual orders. Menus are built around seasonal produce and act as a guide, so minor variations may apply; requests are genuinely considered in advance wherever possible. Where a drinks package is selected, unlimited beverages from within that tier are included for 3 hours from the event’s start time. All other drinks are billed on consumption, and RSA is enforced throughout the event.

A $300 holding deposit is what confirms your booking, payable once availability has been established. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and your date isn’t secured until the deposit is received. Final guest numbers must be submitted at least 24 hours before the event, any reduction after that point is charged at the food cost per missing guest. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event result in the full deposit being forfeited.

The private dining space works well for both seated and cocktail-style formats, and shared Italian menus accommodate groups with mixed dietary preferences naturally. A projector is available for presentations if your event has a business component that needs it. Metered street parking runs along Norton Street and the surrounding blocks in Leichhardt. Worth passing on to your guests: parking on Norton Street is free after 7 pm, which aligns comfortably with most evening function start times. Letting attendees know ahead of the night, particularly for larger groups,  makes for smoother arrivals and less stress all round.
